Russia's gas export monopoly Gazprom said it had agreed with Total and Statoil to delay the giant Shtokman gas field by 3 years due to major changes in the global gas markets.

The company said in a statement pipeline gas production from Shtokman will start in 2016 instead of 2013 while liquefied gas output will begin in 2017 instead of the earlier planned 2014.
