The City of Espoo has selected Rejlers as its partner for HVAC and electrical design for the Espoo House in Finland, a new high-profile construction project that blends cutting-edge technology with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Espoo House will serve as a new architectural and technical landmark in Espoo, part of Finland's Helsinki metropolitan area. The building will host the city’s administration, decision-making functions, and services for residents.
Rejlers is responsible for both HVAC and electrical design in the project, highlighting its strong expertise in managing complex and demanding design challenges. Rejlers is committed to ensuring the building’s technical solutions align with the highest standards of energy efficiency, adaptability, comfort, and safety.
“The requirements for technical design on this site are exceptionally high, particularly regarding energy efficiency and the adaptability of solutions,” says Asko Laune, Senior Vice President, Buildings at Rejlers Finland. “Rejlers has extensive experience in HVAC and electrical design for complex projects, and we are excited to bring our expertise to this flagship initiative for Espoo.”
The building will encompass a total area of approximately 19,500 square meters. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with the facilities expected to become operational in 2029.
The architectural design of Espoo House is being led by Lundén Architecture Company in collaboration with the architectural firm Cobe.
