Iran, S. Africa Agree on GTL Production

TEHRAN – Iran and South Africa have reached preliminary agreement on price of gas needed for a GTL (Gas To Liquid) project, which is part of development project for phase 14 of South Pars gas field.

An informed source at Oil Ministry told Petroenergy Information Network that the final gas price and formulas for determining it were finalized during the latest meeting between officials of South African Polymer Arya Sasul Company and National Petrochemical Company..

He said Polymer Arya Sasul is among big South African corporations which enjoys GTL technology. “GTL is a complicated project and cooperation in this field requires long-term agreements,” he noted..
