TEHRAN – Managing director of the National Iranian
drilling company noted that at the moment 17 drilling rigs belonging to the company are active in international projects.Seifollah Jashnsaz told Petroenergy Information Network that 11 rigs are working in partnership with KCA Company under supervision of Norsk Hydro, Agip, Edison, TotalFinaElf and Naftkav companies in such regions as Azar, Darkhoein, Shakestan, Doroud, Serkan, and South Pars.
The official stated that six drilling rigs are working in central oil regions under supervision of the exploration department of the National Iranian Oil Company and the National Iranian South Oil Company..
Jashnsaz stated that the company has drilled a total of more than 22,357 m during the Iranian month of Azar (November 21 – December 20), up by 15 percent compared to the preceding month..
The National Iranian
drilling company is currently operating about 50 onshore and offshore drilling rigs and employs about 6,000 specialized personnel..
