Wood Group ESP, part of John Wood Group PLC (“Wood Group”), has been awarded a 10-year, performance-based contract to supply electric submersible pumping systems and services to Esso Exploration and Production Chad Inc. "EEPCI", operator of a Consortium comprising EEPCI, Petronas Carigali (Chad EP) Inc. and Chevron Petroleum Chad Company Limited, which is operating in the Doba region of southern Chad. The contract includes the maintenance and repair of pumps currently owned by the Consortium together with the installation, maintenance and repair of new units to be supplied by Wood Group ESP.

The contract covers electric submersible pumps and ancillary equipment installed in three oilfields in the Doba region of southern Chad. We will make significant investments in facilities and personnel, including the recruitment, coaching and training of local workers. Wood Group ESP will have a core team of more than 50 personnel working on a rotational basis in the region.”
