NOC announced on 07/06/2010 that Arabian Gulf Oil Company, a wholly owned NOC reports that it has drilled the D1-NC4 New Field Wildcat well to a total depth of 10,547 feet. The well is located in Ghadames Basin approximately 190 km south of Tripoli.
The initial production testing from Lower Acacus & Memouniat Formations established an oil flow as follows:
The well encountered a total of 56 ft of net pay from three intervals.
Initial production testing from Lower Acacus and Memouniat Formations was conducted. The well flowed at a rate of 1,614 bpd of oil and 1.411 Mmcf/d of gas from the Lower Acacus Formation. Another test of the Lower Acacus between 8,874 and 8,892 flowed at a rate of 2,052 bpd of oil and 2.365 Mmcf/d of gas. In the Memouniat Formation the well tested at a rate of 519 bpd of condensate and 5.838 Mmcf/d of gas.
