Niger is looking for investors for 30 open oil blocks in the western African country but may not be able to hold an official auction until a new government is in place, a government official said .
Ousseini Assane Boureima, divisional chief at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, said interested investors should approach the government directly.
"We have 30 open blocks. If you are interested, come and we can negotiate," he told Reuters on the sidelines of an African oil conference in Cape Town. (Reporting by Agnieszka Flak and Wendell Roelf; Editing by Jon Herskovitz)
