Shell and Exxon to Invest in Malaysia Energy Projects

The Malaysian unit of Exxon Mobil will invest 10 billion ringgit ($3.2 billion) in new oil and gas assets in the Southeast Asian country, the government said.

The local unit of Shell will invest 5.1 billion ringgit to upgrade and build energy facilities, the authorities said.

The planned developments are part of a government initiative aimed at attracting $444 billion in investments by 2020 to drive economic growth.
