Sercel has launched a new generation of DSU1 digital sensors, bringing an important advance in productivity to high-end land seismic surveys. Since its market launch, the DSU1 has offered the dual advantage over conventional sensors of an exceptional high-fidelity response in a broad range of seismic frequencies and efficient deployment on SuperCrews, allowing improved temporal and spatial resolution of final seismic images. The new-generation DSU1 is now the smallest, lightest and easiest to deploy digital sensor system available in the market.
The improved design of the DSU1 includes a shorter casing and a sharper spike, and can be planted directly in the ground without pre-drilling (Patent US 7,730,786), leading to improved productivity and excellent coupling. As with the other members of the Sercel station unit family, including the FDU, DSU3 and DSUGPS, the new DSU1 (Patents US 7,797,998 & US 7,552,638) is compatible with the proven Sercel 428 XL acquisition system, offering unrivalled deployment flexibility.
