Mehdi Fakour was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying that Sumar oilfield development was carried out within 2 months in which 34km-6-inch pipeline for oil transfer and 4km-4-inch flow pipeline were laid and activities such as the construction of a manifold to connect three wells for oil transfer as well as installation of wellhead facilities and chemical packages for injection of anti-corrosive materials have been implemented as well.
"Currently, 1500 barrels of oil from Sumar field with 700 ppm has been transferred to Naftshahr production unit and all procedures in this regard have been done on the basis of the relevant standard and with technical affairs inspectors in attendance", he added.
Sumar oilfield, under the West Oil and Gas Production Company, is located in the West of the country in Kermanshah province. Oil output of the field, after processing, is transferred to Kermanshah refinery.
