Global Energy Services Company Senergy expands its global footprint to 18 offices with new facility in Dubai Media City. Senergy, the global energy services company, has expanded its worldwide presence with the opening of a Knowledge Center in Dubai. The Knowledge Center is home to more than 30 highly-skilled technical and managerial staff, and acts as a hub for much of Senergy’s work in the Middle East, Africa and India. It is Senergy’s 2nd office in the UAE, complementing the work at its Abu Dhabi location, and takes Senergy’s worldwide network of offices to 18.

James McCallum, CEO of Senergy, said: “Senergy has been actively assembling a team of exceptionally talented energy professionals in the UAE for some time, and opening a Knowledge Center is a natural extension of that.“

He added: “Senergy is working with many of the leading oil and gas operators in this region, including National Oil Companies and International Oil Companies, and these customers naturally demand a very high level of technical and managerial support. Having a dedicated Knowledge Center will help us to attract and retain staff of the highest caliber, and serve as a platform for further investment and growth in the region.”

As well as serving as an administrative base, the Knowledge Center offers the unique ‘Windows on Senergy’ concept. Equipped with the latest video conferencing equipment, it allows Senergy customers to access the expertise and insight of Senergy’s global workforce, which now stands at more than 500.

Stuart Walley, Senergy’s Regional Manager for the Middle East and India, said: “One of the biggest challenges facing the energy industry as a whole is a shortage of top talent, a legacy of years of under-investment in recruitment and training in the 1980s and 1990s. Senergy excels at putting together expert teams to help resolve challenges facing operators in what is an increasingly technical and sophisticated sector.”

Senergy offers ‘cradle to grave’ solutions across the hydrocarbon exploration & production lifecycle, from subsurface gravity and magnetic analysis of reservoirs through to project management of oil & gas extraction. Senergy also has a strong presence in software, training and alternative energy.

CEO James McCallum is based in Dubai, where he has lived since 2010. He said: “Today Senergy has more than 50 people in the UAE, and we expect that number to grow rapidly in the coming months and years as we expand to meet the demands of the energy industry in the Middle East, Africa and India.”
