The Russian Business Council in Dubai and Northern Emirates (RBC) has organized the Round Table Special Transport for Oil & Gas Industry. This event has gathered over 40 professionals within the field of specialized transport for oil & gas field exploration, pipelines and other hard-to-reach areas within the Middle East, as well as related regional companies and government organizations' representatives.
Dr. Igor Egorov, Chairman of RBC, in his welcome address said: "We have acknowledged many Russian companies that have successfully established in the UAE in the areas like tourism, real estate and consultancy. I am very pleased to observe the influx of industrial and innovation companies that are exploring their way into the Middle East. This is in line with the vision of the UAE Government to strengthen non-oil sector and attracting investment in diversified areas."
Mr. Vladimir Kozhevnikov, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the UAE has pointed out: "Trade between the UAE and Russia has been growing fast and has reached the record amount of nearly $1.5bn in 2011 compared to $1bn in 2010. This shows high potential of the inter-countries' cooperation, as well as the need to expand the spheres and assist businesses and entrepreneurs of both countries in finding the right long-term partners. We express our satisfaction for the effective and beneficial activities of the Russian Business Council in bridging together businesses of Russia and the UAE in the variety of fields."
Mr. Kirill Vishensky, the Head of the RBC's Transport & Logistics Department, has covered the prospects and significance of special transport in oil & gas industry globally and in the Middle East particularly.
The Russian producer of special transport TTM Transport has presented the wide range of its unique machinery. Various experts have shared their views on the topic and in particular on prospects of the Russian equipment manufacturer in the region as part of the panel discussion session.
