Aquaterra Energy has been awarded a contract to supply 12 centralisers for a platform in the North Sea. The existing centralisers had reached their design life and will be replaced with new centralisers designed by Aquaterra. The centralisers, which will be optimised for the customer’s requirements, will be retrofitted around a 24" OD conductor and conductor guide.
David Ward, Project Manager at Aquaterra Energy said: “We have provided a stringent centraliser design to our client to withstand a minimum lateral force of 15 tonnes, with a 15 year fatigue life. This will ensure that the centralisers last the full life of the asset with no required maintenance.”
