Energean Oil & Gas Appoints Daljit Gill as COO

Energean Oil & Gas Group, an independent E&P company with operations in Greece and Egypt, is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Daljit Gill to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Gill will shortly take on this role to lead Groupís day-to-day operations whilst he will also join the Board of Energean. Mr. Gill, who officially joins Energean on June 1, has over 29 years experience working in the oil and gas industry primarily with Shell and BP. His career includes experience in countries such as Nigeria, Russia, Egypt, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Venezuela, USA, Norway and the UK.

Mr. Gill was previously VP Global Business Development based in The Netherlands for Weatherford International and has a proven track record in growing organizations globally while overseeing on-going operations. After graduating with a BSc Honours in Chemistry (he holds also an MBA from Warwick Business School and a PhD from the University of Bristol), he went on to gain extensive engineering experience with BP, on both onshore and offshore projects around the world, before joining Royal Dutch Shell (1991 - 2006) and diversifying into senior management and leadership roles. Also, among the posts he has held during his longstanding career were Managing Director of Hess Egypt (2006 Ė 2008) and Business Development Director in Kenda Capital, an independently owned manager of the Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1 B.V.

Commenting on Mr. Gillís appointment, Mr. Mathios Rigas, Energeanís CEO stated: ďThe arrival of Daljit completes the Senior Management Team that is going to lead the continuous growth of our Company in our focus areas, in the East Med and the MENA countries.
