Kavian petrochemical plant and first phase of West Ethylene Pipeline will come online in near future.
Deputy minister of petroleum in petrochemical affairs, Abdolhosain Bayat, made the remarks adding implementation of Mehr Mandegar (Lasting Kindness) petrochemical projects will speed up by injecting new financial resources.
‘We had satisfactory negotiations with banks and by injecting new financial resources, Mehr Mandegar projects in petrochemical sector will come on stream up to the end of 10th administration, headed by president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, next year’, Bayat said.
Bayat added that up to the end of Iranian calendar year 1392 (March 2013), six petrochemical projects would be completed in upstream sector in west of the country while Kermanshah Polymer project is near completion and ready for taking feedstock.
He added two other Mehr Mandegar projects including Kordestan and Mahabad Petrochemical plants are going on schedule while Ilam petrochemical project is behind schedule.
Earlier Bayat said that two billion dollars and ten thousand billion rials of the National Development Fund resources had earmarked for speeding up implementation of the projects.
Seventeen Mehr Mandegar petrochemical projects are near completion of which six projects have made progress between 90 to 99 percent while the other 11 projects have made progress between 50 to 80 percent.
