The fourth aromatic project of Borzuyeh Petrochemical Complex, in southern Assaluyeh, progressed by nearly 68 percent by November 22, ISNA reported. In the same period, the land preparation, understructure, and construction operations of the non-industrial buildings progressed by nearly 40 percent. Moreover, the construction process, installation of mechanical parts, and pre-commissioning works witnessed 82 percent progress in that period.
Fourth aromatic project of Borzuyeh Petrochemical Co. is among the strategic projects of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) during the Third Five-year Socioeconomic Development Plan. It is also the largest petrochemical complex in the world producing 1,280,000 tons aromatic.
The principled engineering of this project was launched in 2000 by a consortium of Sazeh, TOYO, and LG corporations, and it is predicted to be put into operation before March 20.
Benzene and parazylene are some of the main products of the fourth aromatic project. Liquefied gas, light and heavy hydrocarbons, heavy aromatics, and rafinate are among its by-products.
