Mehdi Fakour announced the inauguration of Sarvestan oilfield development in near future and said for the first time in the country direct fired heaters have been designed, made and installed at Sarvestan and Saadat Abad oilfields.
He went on to say: the opening ceremony is being planned and the field is forecasted to be inaugurated in October.
"In the first phase of the project 15000 barrels of oil is to be produced and the figure would rise to 25000bpd once the second phase is operated", said Fakour adding utilities and firefighting units of the field have been constructed.
He said manufacturing direct fired heaters was among the important initiatives of the company, adding the devices were designed and constructed inside the country and were installed in Saadat Abad and Sarvestan oil fields.
The official concluded even though Saadat Abad and Sarvestan oil fields cover a vast area each with 120 and 90 kilometers respectively, their development plan was defined and implemented as a single project.
