So your financial assets may not yet amount to several million dollars, but like HSBC, which started out life in 1865 as a small local bank in Hong Kong, and then grew step-by-step into the global giant it is today, it's still good to know should fortune ever smile on you big-time there's a welcoming home for any personal wealth you may have worked hard to create.

You would want to look after your hard-earned wealth, of course, to see your money grow, which is where HSBC's private banking service would surely come in. And no, we're not talking about the usual traditional services, the loans and deposits common to most banks across the world. Far from it. It's a one-to-one service, up close and personal and an essential requirement for anyone who has accumulated a certain level of wealth.

To take advantage of this service par excellence requires a minimum $2 million USD. That's a lot of money in anybody's language. What might you expect then for depositing your liquid assets with HSBC Private Bank?

For starters, you'll have a personal relationship manager who'll assist in any day-to-day banking and credit requirements. Very nice indeed. But he, or she, will also open the doors to a whole host of specialist advisory services. Simply put, you're going to get richer as you find new sources of wealth most appropriate to your needs and interests – as HSBC would put it !

However, wealth can bring with it a whole set of unique situations which if not handled expertly can quickly become problematical. HSBC to the rescue! Their experts will assist with buying a new home, for example, investing in art, or even with relocation overseas. They are there, too, if you want help in diverse areas such as philanthropy, property investment, tax, the media and a whole lot more.

Sadly, let's face it, most of us are never likely to experience the delight of having your very own personal relationship manager. Still, doesn't mean you can't experience a banking service which puts you, as an individual, at the heart of every transaction. Just because most of us have financial means that are likely to be a little on the modest side by comparison, it doesn't mean we don't have dreams, goals and aspirations, too, which HSBC recognises.

Take personal loans, as an example. Competitive rates from 6.49% p.a. combine with repayment periods from six to 48 months. As HSBC puts it, for today's plans and tomorrow's possibilities. Sums it all up rather perfectly.

Depending on eligibility, too, you can borrow up to AED750,000, with an option to defer your monthly instalment up to two times a year. Then add to the mix an HSBC credit card with no annual fee for life, and an automatic HSBC current account with no minimum balance requirement for the duration of your loan. And if all of that doesn't whet your appetite, the starting salary in order to apply for a loan has been set at a reasonable AED7,500 per month.

If you need money for a wedding, your child’s education or to kick-start some travel plans, talk to HSBC about a personal loan. You'll be glad you did. For more information, click here! For a detailed overview, go to
