Paradigm announced that PanAtlantic Exploration Company has adopted Paradigm geophysical and petrophysical applications for all of its exploration and production work in the deepwater environments of Brazil and Africa.
PanAtlantic will use the Paradigm solutions for every step in the upstream workflow, from seismic processing and imaging through interpretation and modeling, reservoir characterization, reservoir engineering, and well planning and drilling engineering. The announcement was made at the 2012 SEG International Exposition and 82nd Annual Meeting, Las Vegas.
“We needed an integrated geoscience solution with the proven track record to handle complex geologic scenarios. Paradigm’s product suite was the obvious choice,” said Bill Drennen, CEO of PanAtlantic. “We expect to improve project cycle time and enhance result reliability by using Paradigm’s seismic imaging and characterization solutions and its interpretation and modeling systems. With the acquisition of this technology, we have secured a solution that puts us in a better position to create quality opportunities.”
“At Paradigm, we understand the complexity and rewards of exploring for and producing oil in deepwater environments,” said James Lamb, executive vice-president, operations for Paradigm. “By taking advantage of our integrated technology suite, PanAtlantic can better streamline its E&P projects to achieve well informed and comprehensive results from the analysis of complex subsurface data. We are thrilled that PanAtlantic has selected Paradigm solutions, and look forward to helping the company maximize its investment in and commitment to its deepwater operations.”
