By the resolution of Gazprom, Artem Semikolenov has been appointed Director General of Gazprom Energo. Artem Semikolenov was born in Togliatti in 1978. In 2000 he graduated from Samara Academy of Humanities, majoring in Law, and in 2004 he received his second university degree at the Russian Academy of State Service under the Russian Federation President, majoring in State and Municipal Management.
Between 2002 and 2005 he held several positions at the Federal Energy Commission of the Russian Federation: from Division Advisor to Deputy Head of the Methodology and Expertise Directorate.
Between 2005 and 2007 – Advisor to the Legal Support Division at the Joint Office for Federal Investment Programs.
Between 2007 and 2009 – Advisor, Deputy Director General for Regional Affairs and Development at Mezhregionenergosbyt.
Between 2009 and 2010 – Advisor to Director General of Gazprom Energo.
Between 2011 and 2012 – Deputy Director General for Economics at Gazprom Energo.
Artem Semikolenov is a successor of Alexey Mityushov, former Director General of Gazprom Energo who still heads OGK-2 .
Gazprom Energo (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom) is the operator of the power grids supplying electricity to Gazprom Group. The company prioritizes uninterrupted and efficient power supplies to Gazprom Group and takes part in establishing the Group-owned power supply base.
Gazprom Energo operates in 42 Russian federal constituents and the Republic of Armenia.
