Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Co, or Tasweeq, sold al-Shaheen crude for February loading at higher premiums than the previous month, traders said.
Tasweeq sold al-Shaheen at $1.80 to $2 a barrel above Dubai quotes, traders said. It last sold al-Shaheen crude for January loading at premiums of $1.50 to $1.90 per barrel.
The premiums were higher as Tasweeq offered fewer cargoes, a trader said. Five cargoes were sold this month, compared with seven January loading cargoes a month ago.
Oil major ExxonMobil, Japanese refiner Tonen General and South Korean refiner SK Energy were the buyers, sources said.
All deals could not be independently verified.
Maersk Shipping sold February al-Shaheen at $1.9 to $2 per barrel to Dubai quotes to a Japanese refiner, traders said.
