On May 2, BGP Challenger successfully completed the speculative seismic survey in west Morondava, offshore Madagascar. With all joint efforts from BGP Multi-client and BGP marine, this project has achieved a high production efficiency. The operation and quality of the acquired seismic data are highly valued by the Office of National Mines and Strategic Industries of Madagascar (“OMNIS”).
This survey area, which is of high interest due to its proximity to recent discoveries in Tanzania and Mozambique, will be subject to an International Bid Round in the near future.
