Bowleven, the Africa focused oil and gas exploration group traded on AIM, is pleased to announce that David Clarkson has been appointed Operations Director of the Company.
David brings extensive oil and gas industry experience to the Bowleven Board and management team. During a career spanning over 30 years in BP he held a variety of senior executive positions in the Upstream business, including leading major project developments in frontier locations and as Technical Vice President for Projects & Engineering, and most recently in the Rumaila Field in Iraq. David has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Commenting on the appointment, the Company’s Chairman, Ronnie Hanna, said

In relation to the appointment of Mr Clarkson to the Board of Directors, Bowleven confirms that there is nothing further to disclose in relation to his appointment under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, save as disclosed below:
