TATNEFT Company applies efficient technologies of oil recovery enhancement in its operations. By the results of the contest for the best exhibit, project or solution in the frame of the XXth International Exhibition "Oil and Gas. Petrochemicals-2013" TATNEFT Company won the Grand Prix in the nomination "Enhanced Oil Recovery" for the engineering development and introduction of acid-stimulating compositions "KSK-Tatneft".
The modified “KSK” compounds developed by the experts of TatNIPIneft have been designed to stimulate production of crude oil from the wells exploiting carbonate reservoirs of porous, fractured, cavernous types, and their various combinations, as well as clastic reservoirs. They increase the permeability of the bottomhole zone and that of remote intervals.
The complex of acid stimulating compositions "KSK-Tatneft" is designed to enhance the treatment efficiency of carbonate and clastic productive oil reservoirs. "KSK" compositions are a series of versatile, multi-purpose acidic formulations (PAKS, PAKS-1, KSK-1, KSMD, KSMD -1, GKK, GKK-1) with improved process properties.
The formulations of "KSK" have a broad range of technological and physicochemical properties. Depending on the desired reservoir stimulation it is possible to flexibly select the most effective formulations of "KSK" and combinations thereof for application in each hole. This provides for a high technical and economic efficiency of these compounds application.
"KSK" compositions (formulations options) are the intellectual property of JSC TATNEFT and they are protected by RF patent No. 2308475 for the invention.
