GNPC Appoints Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould as CEO

Mr. Mould takes over from Nana Boakye Asafu-Adjaye as Ag. CEO of GNPC. Prior to this appointment Mr. Mould was the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority.

Mr. Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould joined the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in April 2009 after over 20 years experience in leadership positions in the downstream petroleum industry and the banking and financial sectors with multinational banking corporations in the USA and Ghana, and nearly a decade of experience in the petroleum downstream sector with focus on Refining, Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Supply & Trading and Risk Management.

Before his appointment as Chief Executive of the NPA, Alex was the Executive Director and Co-Head Wholesale Banking, Origination and Client Coverage Ghana, where he was responsible for the corporate business. Alex joined SCB in 1995 in New York as a client relationship manager from Bankers Trust Company, where he worked as an investment banker in the energy merchant bank. He also worked with Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) New York, responsible for structured trade finance business in Latin America.
In 2001, Alex returned to Ghana and was responsible for developing structured trade/export finance business in West Africa, and in 2002 was appointed as Executive Director and Co-Head Wholesale Banking, Origination and Client Coverage, Ghana.
