Kentz Corporation Limited, the holding company of the Kentz engineering and construction group, is pleased to announce that Valerus, its newly acquired oil and gas handling company in the US, has been recently awarded a US$62m contract by Crestwood Midstream Partners LP to provide the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of two compressor stations.
The stations, both located in Doddridge County, West Virginia, will each have the capacity to handle 120 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas from the Marcellus shale upon completion in 2014.
The turnkey compressor stations will together include more than 35,000 hp of compression; inlet separation and filtration; gas dehydration; power generation and distribution; and station instrumentation and controls.
Heath Deneke, President of Crestwood's Natural Gas Business Unit stated: "These projects, currently under construction, are essential to our infrastructure development plans in the very active Marcellus, connecting it to the market.
