Benthic, a global geosciences company, recently broke its record dive depth performed by the Companyís proprietary Portable Remotely Operated Drill (PROD) while working off the coast of Tanzania. PROD2 conducted CPT and piston coring for 55 continuous hours on the seabed in water depths of 2,672 meters achieving the deepest deployment of a seabed geotechnical drill unit to date.

With operations continually reaching new depths, the benefits of seabed drilling in ultra-deep waters are quickly outweighing traditional drilling methods. PRODís success and high productivity in ultra-deep waters is quickly making Benthic the company of choice for ultra-deep water projects.
