Energy Reform Will Strengthen the Competitiveness of Pemex

The Energy Reform will overcome the challenges of the oil industry in technology and investment, with new participants in an open market, to detonate an injection of more than 60 billion dollars annually resources.

So said the director general of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya Austin, to participate in the ninth edition of the Mexican Petroleum Congress. The Congress was opened by the Secretary of Energy, Pedro Joaquin Coldwell, who said the new energy model promoted by the government of the Republic is comprehensive and covers all areas of the industry, for the benefit of society as a whole. He said that Mexico is in the beginning of the transformation that has experienced increased national industry for over 70 years.

The owner of Sener said that the Energy Reform seeks to add individual investments that do not involve threats to the national economy, but instead represent new productive opportunities, well-paying jobs, increased oil revenues and development of new regions in the utilization energies.

For his part, the director general of Pemex Exploration and Production, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Mexican Petroleum Congress, Gustavo Hernandez, said that the Energy Reform represents more than a change of laws, as it involves the transformation that Mexico requires. It is time to look to the future with a clear objective: to build a modern country that can leave behind historical lags.
