The Director General of Petroleos Mexicanos, Emilio Lozoya Austin, opened the Laboratory of Technical Assistance Pemex Petrochemicals (PPQ), which has technology and human capital of excellence. The laboratory is located in the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) and was built with the technical support of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT).
Lozoya Austin noted that this laboratory will allow Pemex to adopt new processes of transformation, and to develop new applications for the petrochemical industry and improve existing, plus it will provide technical assistance and training, which will increase the quality of the products we produce PPQ.
With actions like this, we move toward our goal of being a competitive leader in all markets in which incursionemos he said.

In 2011, PPQ and IMP signed the transfer of land for the construction of the laboratory, the equipment was made through an agreement on technological cooperation and investment between CONACYT and Pemex, by which the Council will operate the laboratory with trained staff Research Center of Applied Chemistry (CIQA), in order to undertake analysis of the properties of polyethylenes and Pemex Petrochemical products sold.
This alliance will foster research on polyethylene in different operational conditions and in combination with other materials.
In turn, the owner of IMP, Vinicio Suro Perez, said the institute seeks to build synergies with researchers and engineers from both institutions attract talent and use it to have better products that the market demands.
