First PX121 Platform Supply Vessel Launched
Source: www.gulfoilandgas.com 7/31/2014, Location: AsiaOn June 30, a PX121 platform supply vessel (PSV), being built for the Dutch owner, Vroon B.V, was successfully launched in COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard, 15 days ahead of schedule.
The vessel measures 83.4 metres in LOA, 18 metres in breadth, 8 metres in depth and has a design draft of 6.7 metres. It has a maximum deadweight of 4,200 tonnes and a deck area of approximately 830 square metres.
The yard completed tightness testing of 63 tanks, the coating of 42 tanks and 13,500 metres of cable laying prior to the launch on the vessel, which leaves the team well prepared for the subsequent commissioning work.
