Intertek, a leading international provider of testing, inspection, and certification services, announced that ReneSola Ltd., a leading brand and technology provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) products, has joined Intertek's SATELLITE™ program.

Intertek's SATELLITE data acceptance program integrates speed, flexibility, and cost effectiveness into the product development process by accepting internal laboratory test data of qualifying customers. ReneSola’s Jiangsu Product Center Laboratory in China has met the stringent standards of the program and is now a SATELLITE laboratory. This enables the company to streamline performance testing of products for performance and safety, including qualification for Intertek’s ETL certification, as part of its product development process.

"We are pleased that ReneSola chose Intertek's SATELLITE Program as the best partnership to help them accelerate speed to market with their green energy products," said Sunny Rai, Vice President, Renewable Energy at Intertek. "Our global expertise in the renewable energy industry and breadth of services across the full product life cycle is a perfect match with ReneSola’s international growth in solar products. As ReneSola continues to expand their presence worldwide, Intertek will be there to help ensure their success."

ReneSola’s Jiangsu Product Center Laboratory, part of their expansive OEM and sales network, includes the latest-generation equipment to enable engineers to measure and validate product performance data. "By joining the SATELLITE program, we can better coordinate testing and certification with our product development cycles, which should not only reduce our overall testing costs but also shorten the time needed to take our products to market," said Dr. Bill Hou, Director of ReneSola’s product center. "ReneSola has always dedicated itself to the highest levels of product quality and performance, so we are proud to be teaming with Intertek, which shares our commitment to quality control."
