KOTC Recieves "Kazimah III" Tanker

KOTC has officially recieved "Kazimah III" , which is the first tanker to be recieved within the new plan for fleet renewal program, the fleet consists of 9 tankers in addition to a service ship and other facilities, which is expected to cost around $594 million. The cost of "Kazimah III'' is estimated at $ 101 million. The ceremony held on board of the Tanker sponcered by Mr. Nabeel boresly member Board of Directors. and Sheikh Ali H. Al-Sabah - Deputy Managing Director Administration Affairs.

"This tanker was built in accordance with the modern international standards to match the operational needs of the company," said Nabeel Burisli. The first tanker was received in 1959 which was called Kazma. The second was built in 1982 which also had the same name. The new tanker was called Kazma 3 to continue the same legacy, he said.

The launching ceremony took place at the Hyundai Shipbuilding yard in Southern Korea. From there, the tanker sailed to Kuwait with a Kuwaiti team of engineers and captains. "There are now about 42 marine engineers working on board of the company''s tankers and others are working in the offices of the company," he added.
