Winchester Electronics Corporation (Winchester), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has completed the acquisition of SRI Hermetics (SRIH). Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, SRIH is a leading supplier of ceramic hermetic connectors and hermetic packaging. The acquisition of SRIH expands Winchester’s interconnect product line to include hermetic capabilities and strengthens its presence in the Military/Aerospace, Test & Measurement, and Medical end markets.
Winchester, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, is a designer and manufacturer of connectivity solutions, including both connectors and cable assemblies, for diversified end markets including medical, military/aerospace, energy & power, broadcast, and ruggedized industrial. Winchester is a global business with operations in the U.S., Mexico, China, and Malaysia.

SRI Hermetics marks the eleventh add-on acquisition for Winchester since Audax Private Equity acquired Winchester in June 2006. The acquisitions have included Advanced Interconnect, Inc. of Franklin, Massachusetts in April of 2007; Kings Electronics Corporation, Inc. of Rock Hill, South Carolina in May of 2007; Electrical Specialty Products, Inc. of Spartanburg, South Carolina in July of 2012; Clements National Company of Broadview, Illinois in August of 2012; Continental Connector Company of Hatfield, Pennsylvania in May of 2013; Bomar Interconnect Products of Ledgewood, New Jersey in August of 2013; SRC Cables, Inc. of Santa Rosa, California in October of 2013; Haverhill Cable and Manufacturing Corporation of Haverhill, Massachusetts in November of 2013; TRU Corporation of Peabody, Massachusetts in April of 2014; and Source Technology of Houston, Texas in September 2014.
