No Single Country to Blame for Oil Price Fall

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has dismissed speculation that a single country should be blamed for the ongoing oil price fall, saying a group of factors were involved.

“It would be exaggeration to say that due to the will of one single country, such impacts have occurred in the world oil market,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Marzieh Afkham, said.

She said “decision-makers could have curbed the oil price fall more effectively”, adding that OPEC has already experienced oil price slump.

“Maybe this time the coincidence of certain events, and regional, international and political events and developments are strengthening speculation about the impact of political decisions on this (price fall) trend,” said Afkham.
