OAO LUKOIL and the Non-Profit Organization World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) - Russia signed an agreement for technical cooperation in Russia. The document was signed by Gleb Ovsyannikov, Head of OAO LUKOIL’s Public Relations Department, and Evgeny Shvarts, Director for Conservation Policy of the WWF-Russia.
The agreement provides for bilateral consultations, working meetings, exchange of information and data as regards the implementation of environmental-protection projects and nature conservation in Russia.
In 2014, the WWF-Russia did a pilot project aimed at rating the country’s oil and gas companies depending on the level of their environmental responsibility and on the scope of environmental impact produced by their activities. The rating placed OAO LUKOIL among the top ten.
