Iran Ready for Oil, Gas Cooperation with Indonesia

Iran’s First Vice President has expressed the country’s readiness to upgrade its cooperation with Indonesia in the oil and gas sectors.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to upgrade its cooperation with Indonesia in different sectors including oil, gas, industry and agriculture,” Jahangiri said in a meeting with the visiting Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil.

He said that there are “a handful of potentialities” for cooperation between the two countries to develop economic cooperation.

For his part, the Indonesian minister said reciprocal business visits by Iranian and Indonesian officials would contribute to higher economic transactions.

Djalil also said that Iranians have not been affected by tough international sanctions against the country.
