Opus Offshore Takes Delivery of Opus Tiger 1 Drillship in China

Singapore-based Opus Offshore pte Ltd. took delivery of the 5,000 feet water depth, conventionally-moored Opus Tiger 1 (UDW drillship) June 29, the company said in a statement.

After a couple of schedule extensions, Shanghai Shipyard has now delivered its first of four drillships ordered by Opus Offshore.

The delivered rig will remain alongside at Shanghai Shipyard until it is contracted. Construction and commissioning of the other three rigs are ongoing.
