In June 2015, Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) has issued two new Invitations to Tender (ITT).
• The first is for 36-inch offshore line pipes to be used in the 105 km section of the project across the Adriatic Sea, between the coastlines of Albania and southern Italy. The ITT scope also includes the supply of buckle arrestors, coating and anodes for the project’s offshore section. The ITT is open to the companies who have pre-qualified following the contract notice TAP launched in February 2015.

• The second is for the Pipeline Receiving Terminal (PRT) and the installation of onshore pipeline in Italy. The scope of work includes two lots: Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the PRT and the EPC of an approximately 8-kilometre long, 36-inch diameter pipeline connecting the project's offshore pipeline at the landfall with the PRT. The ITT is open to the companies who have pre-qualified following the contract notice TAP launched in March 2015.

TAP plans to award both contracts by the end of 2015.

Knut Steinar Kvindesland, Senior Contract and Procurement Manager at TAP said: “TAP continues to build on the momentum of the procurement of goods and services. The ITTs for offshore line pipes and onshore construction in Italy are two of the major supply packages for the TAP project.”

The next Invitation to Tender that TAP will issue during the summer is for the manufacturing and delivery of fittings, isolating joints and scraper traps. By the end of 2015, TAP will also launch Invitations to Tender for SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition), Telecommunications and Security Systems as well as Fibre Optic Cable.
