CNOOC Environmental Services (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (COES) was listed in the first batch of national science popularization bases released by the Chinese Petroleum Society.
According to Zhou Fusheng, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Petroleum Society, 6 organizations made the list, including COES and 5 oilfield exhibition centers. What makes COES a unique attraction? It is that the visitors could get to know the offshore environmental protection equipment on site.
Usually, the offshore environment protection equipment is open to people in the oil industry. "The public, especially the juvenile visitors, will get to know more about the offshore environmental protection after our organization become a national science popularization base," said Yang Yong, General Manager of COES.
COES plans to build two exhibition halls to fulfill the function, one in Tanggu, Tianjin, the other in Huizhou, Guangdong.
