Two new hydrocarbon deposits in the Imbinskoye gas field were discovered by Gazprom Geologorazvedka, exploration operator in the Imbinsky license block of Gazprom (Boguchany District, Krasnoyarsk Territory).
In compliance with the approved Geological Exploration Program, between 2010 and 2012 the company conducted 3D seismic surveys at the Imbinskoye field as well as drilled prospecting & appraisal well No.3, which revealed a potential for commercial gas production. The interpretations of geophysical and drilling data as well as investigations were reason enough to do a quick reserves appraisal. The build-up of C1 free gas-in-place reserves of the Imbinskoye field totaled 12.5 billion cubic meters, helium reserves – 9.8 thousand cubic meters.
In July the reserves were certified by the Federal State-Funded Institution State Reserves Commission and included into the State Register of Mineral Reserves of the Russian Federation.
“At present, our company is mapping out projects for further exploration activities in the Imbinsky license block, including the follow-up exploration of the already discovered hydrocarbon deposits,” said Roman Okishev, First Deputy Director General – Chief Engineer of Gazprom Geologorazvedka.
