13 gas refinery units as well as 7 offshore platforms have been launched ever since the administration of President Rouhani, dubbed as the Administrating of Prudence and Hope, took office in 2013 in Iran.
The 7 offshore platforms comprise of five 1bcm and two 500mcm platforms which were inaugurated at prioritized South Pars phases 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18, reported the planning and supervision on hydrocarbon resources department of Iranian petroleum ministry.
Inauguration of Phase 12 development of the gas field, which is regarded as the field's biggest phase, was done under the Rouhani administration early in 2015, said the report.
67% of the project, including construction and design of its refineries, topsides and undersea pipelines, was carried out by Iranian contractors.
Furthermore, 75mcm of natural gas was added to the country's gas output during the previous Iranian calendar year which ended on March 20. The gas came from newly-developed South Pars phases.
