SOCAR President Meets with Prime Minister of Malta

During the visit to Malta, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. The event, attended by Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi as well, discussed SOCAR’s investment project in Malta and noted that the project proceed by the schedule. The sides discussed the opportunities for further development of cooperation in energy sector between Azerbaijan and Malta, as well as prospects for the expansion of investment projects.

Mr. Abdullayev informed on the achievements in the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan, including large-scale energy projects carried out across the country and abroad. Recalling his last year's visit to Baku, Mr. Muscat stressed the favorable opportunity of the Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation in the oil and gas sector for the further expansion of ties. The attendees discussed other issues of mutual interest as well.
