SKF, the knowledge engineering company, will be showcasing a selection of solutions that enable bearing performance – and therefore elevator performance – to be optimized. Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to see SKF’s new small sealed Explorer spherical roller bearings. These bearings decrease seal friction by up to 50%, reducing operating temperatures and increasing lubricant life to cut maintenance costs. They also feature double the limiting speed rating of previous versions, which makes them ideal for use in modern high-speed elevators.
The SKF stand will also feature a selection of tools that enable bearing performance to be optimized per application. This includes SKF EnCompass, which is a proven programme for bearing design improvement, enabling more detailed analysis of the factors influencing bearing service life to help meet real-world application conditions. Included as part of SKF EnCompass is the latest version of the SKF Generalized Bearing Life Model, which enables design engineers to calculate a more specific bearing life by considering more influencing factors than ever before.
The performance and life of bearings in elevators can be improved still further with SKF Enlight and SKF SimPro, both of which can be seen by visitors at Interlift 2015. SKF Enlight is an extensive new portfolio of off-the-shelf devices as well as SKF apps and cloud services that provides users with the ideal set of tools to optimize everything from condition monitoring to lubrication systems. SKF Simpro is a new advanced calculation tool offering from SKF that helps engineers select the right bearings for an application and fine-tune machine designs.
Interlift 2015 is taking place on October 13-16 2015 in Augsburg, Germany. Visitors to the show will find SKF’s solutions and specialists in Hall 3 at Booth 3199.
