The ORTEC Products Group of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has partnered with innoRIID, GmbH, Grevenbroich, Germany, to release the RADEAGLE, the latest generation of scintillation-based, hand-held radioisotope identification devices (RIIDs).
The RADEAGLE represents a key expansion by ORTEC into the scintillation-based RIID business segment and compliments ORTEC’s field-proven Detective® line of high-purity, Germanium-based RIIDs. The RADEAGLE incorporates one of the largest NaI(Tl) crystals in its class along with a unique, multi-agent system-based algorithm that allows it to deliver superior speed and accuracy in radioisotope detection and identification.
“The RADEAGLE hand-held RIID is fast and accurate,” states Frank Vorwald, AMT Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager. “It’s ability to simultaneously detect and identify multiple isotopes, even in complex masked and shielded scenarios, is impressive. We are excited to work with innoRIID on this release and believe the RADEAGLE, combined with the Detective® line of hand-held RIIDs, offers customers one of the best full product suites available today.”
