Yokogawa Meters & Instruments Corporation announces that it will release 3 models of the CA300 series single function calibrators from November 6. Their accuracy is the best in the class of handy type calibrators, which are for calibration and inspection of?control devices such as differential pressure/pressure transmitters, signal transducers, control devices, temperature transmitters, temperature sensors which are used for industrial machinery, manufacturing devices in process plants and of other types of industries.
The CA300 series are the continued model of voltage calibrator “CA11E” and temperature calibrator “CA12E.” While maintaining a low cost, the CA300 series achieves the highest source/measurement accuracy compared to other instruments in the same class concerning functionality and performance. With this release, Yokogawa aims to expand our sales through the calibration business.
It is required to periodically calibrate and inspect signal control devices to maintain the accuracy of control devices. Process calibrators are used for that purpose in the field.
As there are higher concerns on stable and safe operation for plants, the importance of maintenance and inspection is more of a focus. Thus process calibrators are required to be capable to do much more efficient operations in the field with higher quality. Moreover as the control devices themselves are getting much more precise, it is required for the process calibrator to be much more precise and with higher performance. Corresponding with those needs our company releases the single function process calibrator CA300 series with the highest accuracy of source and measure in its class which supersedes the voltage/current calibrator CA11E and temperature calibrator CA12E.
1. Volt mA Calibrator CA310
The CA310 is a dedicated process calibrator which is capable in performing a control loop check and inspection of devices. It has three times higher accuracy of ±0.015% rdg.* to source and measure mA and voltage. It can be used under HART or BRAIN communication with 250 ohm resistance embedded.
*“rdg.” is an abbreviation of reading which means the error rate to the measurement value.
2. Thermocouple Calibrator CA320
The CA320 is a dedicated process calibrator which is capable in performing inspections and calibrations of thermocouples. It is three times more accurate than the present CA12E with a high accuracy of ±0.5? error which is top class as a handy type to source thermocouple output and measure output of sensors. It not only corresponds to JIS standard and IEC standard thermocouples, but corresponds to ASTM standard and GOST-R standard too. It corresponds to inspection and calibration with the summary of 16 types of thermocouples following the standards.
3. RTD Calibrator CA330
The CA330 is a dedicated process calibrator which is capable of performing inspections and calibrations of RTDs. It is two times accurate than the present CA12E with a high accuracy of ±0.3? error which is top class as a handy type to source resistance output and measure output of sensors. It not only corresponds to JIS standard and IEC standard thermocouples, but corresponds to GOST-R standard also. It corresponds to inspection and calibration with the summary of 14 types of RTD following the standards.

Yokogawa’s Approach to the Calibrator Business
In 1988, Yokogawa released its first calibrator for the maintenance and inspection of plant field devices. It was based on technologies that had been acquired through the development of high-precision measurement instruments used in electrical equipment R&D and production line testing.
