New Flowmeter Distributors for Litre Meter in SE Asia

Litre Meter has appointed two new distributors in South East Asia to deliver its flow measurement solutions and chemical injection packages for the offshore oil and gas industry in Asia and Australasia. The new distributors are Wehaya in Selangor, Malaysia and Lasindo based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Litre Meter has appointed the two new distributors following the creation of an office in Singapore earlier in 2015.

Litre Meter has seen increasing business in the region over recent months with significant orders for its VFF positive displacement flowmeters for oil and gas production projects including the Kinabalu NAG project in Malaysia and Bien Dong 1 in the Nam Con Son basin off Vietnam. The company felt the time is now right to increase its capabilities in the region to meet demand and demonstrate that it can deliver products, commissioning and engineering solutions on a regional level directly to the market.

Wehaya distributes flowmeters, sensors and other instrumentation for a number of industry sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals and processing industries in SE Asia and China. Lasindo is a supplier specifically to the oil and gas industry in the region, providing product solutions and engineering services.

Commenting on the new distributor agreements Litre Meter CEO Charles Wemyss said: “Last year Claus Weihermueller was appointed as regional manager of KEM/TASI Flow Asia Pacific & Middle East Operations based in a new KEM/TASI Flow office in Singapore.

“Litre Meter, along with KEM, is part of the TASI Group and our products are promoted via the Singapore office. However, we felt that it would enable us to further increase our customer support by having our own distribution network in the region.

“We have now appointed two distributors, one in Malaysia, the other in Indonesia, which gives us comprehensive coverage throughout the SE region and as far afield as China. This presence in Asia means that we can respond quickly to requests for our products and swiftly deliver commissioning and engineering solutions.

“Litre Meter’s VFF flowmeter is ideally suited for use in the oil and gas industry and in particular for low flow / high pressure applications, which is why we are securing orders in offshore oil and gas production around the world.

“Years of experience in chemical injection applications onshore and offshore have confirmed our instruments’ capability to reliably measure fluids under extreme conditions of both temperature and pressure and we now have representation to deliver them for various projects in Asia and Australasia.”
