An Explosion Occurred at PMV’s Vinyl Chloride Plant in Coatzacoalcos

An explosion occurred at the Petroquimica Mexicana de Vinilo (PMV) Clorados 3 plant in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, operated by Mexichem and co-owned by Pemex. 30 people have been reported injured.

Pemex’s firefighting units are working at site, in coordination with state and municipal civil protection and other state authorities.

Pemex’s CEO, José Antonio Gonzalez Anaya, will travel to the affected area to coordinate the emergency plan.
