Board of Directors Approves the Appointments of the Head of PEP & DCPA

Petroleos Mexicanos’ Board of Directors approved today the appointments of Javier Hinojosa Puebla, as Director General of Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP), and of Miguel Angel Servin Diago, as Corporate Director of Procurement and Supply (DCPA).

Within their session, presided by the Minister of Energy Pedro Joaquin Coldwell, the Board also approved the appointments of the following Deputy Directors:

Within DCPA: Jose Manuel Lotfe Soto, for Support Services; Miguel Angel Lugo Valdez, for Exploration and Production; and Salvador Neftali Escobedo Sanchez, of Strategy Management and Business Model Support.

Within the Corporate Direction of Administration: Alejandro Dieck Assad , in Human Resources.

Within the Corporate Direction of Finance: Luis Ignacio Rayon Llerandi, in Budget.

Hinojosa Puebla, who used to occupy the Direction of Development and Production at PEP, is a petroleum engineer from the UNAM and has 36 years of experience in Petroleos Mexicanos. Among his most recent appointments, he was the Deputy Director for the Northeast Marine Region, for the Drilling and Well Maintenance Unit, for Field Development, and Chief of Staff of the Director General at PEP. In 2008, he received the National Petroleum Engineering Award.

Servin Diago holds a bachelor degree in Political Science and Public Administration by the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cornell University. He has vast experience in the public sector, and since 1990 has held diverse appointments as: Associate Director General of Program and Budget and Associate Director General of Health and Social Security, within the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit; Director General for Resources at the Ministry of Communication and Transportation; Director of Natural Gas, at the Ministry of Energy; and, Director General of Pemex Gas and Basic Petrochemicals and Normalization, within the Energy Regulatory Commission. Since 2013, he has been directing the Administration Unit at the Mexican Social Security Institute, where he led the procurement and supply areas.
