The renewable Energy Development Centre (CDER) signed, in Algiers, a partnership agreement with the American group, General Electric (GE) on the development of renewable energy in Algeria.
Signed on the sidelines of the open day organized by the CDER, the goal of this agreement is “to promote and initiate the development of innovative collaborative projects in a sector in full expansion,’ according to the communiqué.
This agreement provides for the assessment of the needs in research and development of renewable energies in Algeria, from the production to the transport, the distribution and the management of equipment via digital solutions.
CDER director Noureddine Yassaa, cited by the communiqué, underlined on this occasion, the major role of research and development of the renewable energy industry, saying that this kind of partnership "will inevitably contribute in promoting research, innovation and development of this eminently technological sector and create more bridges between the research world and that of industry."
