Sakhalin Energy signed the contract with Izhora Plants for delivery of equipment for the Sakhalin-2 project. The contract includes manufacture and supply of two three-phase inlet separators for the onshore processing facility (OPF) compression project. The separators are required for preparation of gas received from LUN-A platform for further delivery to the south of the island.
High-tech equipment is designed to operate at high pressures, as well as in special climatic and seismic conditions of the region. The separators are made of overlay clad sheet, with the inner layer of stainless steel, which prevents them from corrosion. Total weight of each is more than 400 tonnes. For all stages of designing and manufacturing of the separators high requirements of the company will be considered.
It is the first time when Russian produced separators will be used on a production site of Sakhalin Energy. This partnership is very important for the development of Russian content on the project and it contributes to the appearance of high-quality and competitive domestic goods in the market.
